The Gentlemen
Heerenleed. For the English readers, the name of the boat needs some explanation. There are two parts in the word: heeren and leed. Heeren means gentlemen and leed means suffering. For the suffering, see on that page. To know a little more about the Gentlemen, you are on the right page...
Here they are, alfabetically...

Noud Bakker
Born on March 31st, 1951. Usually not a member of the working class, but quite busy organising the maintenance of Heerenleed and, since 2007, has also done the organising of the project of rebuiding our Madeira house. Aboard Heerenleed Noud mostly looks after the catering (quite important) and after the navigation and the sail trim. Noud likes reading and music, (both making music and listening) and, fortunately, he likes to sail. If you want to know more, you can mail him. Ask any question and you will certainly get an answer. Whether the answer has anything to do with the question remains to be seen.

Peter Groen
Born on November 4, 1949. Peter has just finished the last leg of his 'career'. Aboard Heerenleed he invariably takes the wheel, except when she is on autopilot (which is the case very often). Furthermore, whether he likes it or not, he is the onboard technical service. And he needs to take care of moving everything heavy or getting unstuck everything stuck... Likes cooking, theatre (playing), loves a good mystery show (no American, thank you very much) and. fortunately, he also likes sailing. Do mail him if you want to know more. If you are lucky (or not, depending on you point of view) you will get more answers than you bargained for...
